Morning jog and bath on the sea

It was great , even the hot temperature here was good jog and take a bath after running .

Me in Badalona seashore after morning jog.

Badalona just 7 km away from Barcelona downtown,  two different easy option avoiding car  to reach it , train  L2 Plaça Catalunya   just 4  stops  , other option would be subway  also called L2  (purple colour) 20 minutes stop at Pompeu Fabre.

Train option

If you select train once in Badalona get outside station turn right and walk for 10 minutes straight , first you will come across the Rambla very nice promenade keep going till the promenade ends then on the right you´ll sea Betulo Beach club take the subway pass to cross the  railway line and here you are .

Subway option

If your transport selection will be subway once you get out of the subway station go right first left straight on main street till carrer d´en Prim (250 mts) then turn right down the street till the beach turn left till the Betulo beach club  take the subway pass to cross the  railway line and here you are .

From that point you have a 14 km roundtrip of nice promenade to run and take a bath after running  , run form that point to Port of Masnou drink water and back to Badalona , no any change to get lost all the timeyou must follow the path which is going to drive you to the port . Some pictures of the path in former post called  "Long board race today" , enjoy this suggestion .

Nice walk to exploring narrow streets of the Barcelona old town .

Hi fellow , how are doing ?' , well  I trust . Here I am again  this time I want to go with your along the old ancient fenced city of Barcelona , today there is almost not any bestige of the rampart wich serve Barcelonins , this is how we call ourself , defend  against the enemy but we can find out some , let´s go !!! . One of the best preserved is located on the Plaça Ramón Berenguer el Gran, where you can admire a piece of the wall dated of  IV century D.C, anyway in future I will describe those litlle treasures of Barcelona.

Let´s start the nice walk , this won´t take your more than 30 minutes anyhow this will be decided by yourself  , depending of the time you stay in or enjoy all of those marvellous places , enjoy the atmosphere or simply leaving mind go itself.

Here is where I will  suggest start the walk , good pair of walking sneakers, little backpack and that´s it , do not keep your wallet and camera  out of attendance I have never had problems there but just in case .

Map for easy follow;

In the junction of C/ dels Bruc  with  Trafalgar street 42 /44 is located the entrance of  Passageway Sert  (not always open )nice place to enjoy the little remaining passageways in Barcelona , well preserved at present full of co working places , rentals office , some bars and restaurants and the most , beautiful flats , well keep , let´s go cross the passageway till the other side where we arrive to Carrer de Sant Pere Més alt,

Turns right towards to Via Laietana (around 250 mt ) you will be in front of one of the jewels of Catalan Modernism, el Palau de la Musica Catalana it is really difficult take pictures because the narrow streets but if you go to C/Verdaguer I callís you will have a nice prespective of this beautifull building .

Just few meters away from the bar around the corner with Sant Pere Mitjà there´s  a lovely place runned by lovely people , that´s Le Cucine Mandarosso.

Charming, blend of Italian and Barcelona style , warm and  welcome  , very recommendable !!!!!

We are going to keep going with our walk along the narrow streets towards to Santa Caterina , one of the most interesting and beautiful  food market in Barcelona . We turn towards Sant Pere Mitja and we will go to Mare de Deu del Pilar where we will turn right straight to Sant Pere mes baix , on the junction we turn left , straight on till General Alvarez de Castro ,  turn into right continue untill end of the street  turn right and you´ll be in  Francesc Cambo left side is the "Santa Caterina" food market .

Amsterdam Marathon , 76 days away

I have  started my summer  holidays just today and what a better way to initiate this lovely period than  running , that´s what I did this morning , I filled my  bagpack with little  belongings and  I have  ran the distance from my home to the healthy club that´s  roughly speaking 19 km all of its following the coast , sea side the whole track long , it was great but the weather , quite common in summer , quite hot but no issues , some water  in my bagpack , good skin protection , arms , face and legs and my running hat .

I did not  good time but this was not the basic intention of today morning run, I just wanted to see how I felt after a couple of weeks of rest and to be honest I felt very good ready for the long seasons this summer to get fit for the Amsterdam Marathon .
